Eastman VL305ST Review

Eastman makes excellent instruments for beginning and advanced violinists on a budget. The VL305ST is easy to set up and seems very well made. All the pieces and pegs fit and work quite smoothly together. This is good workmanship by Eastman on this product! Teachers have told me they highly recommend this to students on a budget who wish to get a violin with improved sound over the $500-$800 models they previously used.The VL305ST by Eastman is not a violin you would mistake for a beginner’s model, either. The dark, red varnish give the VL305ST the distinguished look of many more expensive violins.The Eastman VL305ST is constructed from a single-piece; flamed maple backing that could be mistaken for an instrument that costs twice as much.The VL305ST comes with Eastman’s own, permambuco bow. These bows are extremely responsive, making it much easier to produce a professional quality sound on the violin. Beginning and advanced students, alike, will immediately notice a superior, more effortless tone from the Eastman VL305ST violin. This one gets 7 out of 10 stars and is highly recommended for all but professional or serious upper-level violinists.
